Established in 1987 and still owned and operated by the same family, and located in the bushland surrounds of Eltham, the Bellara Chapel is a private, non-denomination chapel situated in picturesque English style gardens. Set off the road in a peaceful setting amidst a lake and with ample parking and wheelchair access, it's not surprising that families are only too pleased to farewell a loved one at Bellara.
The Chapel also holds AV equipment to enable beautiful music and a memorable photographic tribute to be played during the service if desired.

More and more of our client families are expressing the desire to seek beautiful and alternative funeral venues in which to hold a Celebration of life service. Ballara Receptions certainly provides exactly that, and we continue to be exceptionally pleased with the high level of service and affordable prices that families choosing to use Ballara Receptions receive.
The venue grounds has a large area for parking, wheelchair access and can seat up to 100 guests in the chapel with additional standing room. With air conditioning, a quality sound system inside and out, all in a comfortable and beautiful atmosphere in pretty English gardens; the chapel provides a peaceful and comfortable setting in which to say goodbye.

Morning, afternoon tea or light lunches can be provided in the Reception Centre following the service.
On occasion are client families have chosen to use a special horse drawn hearse or rustic carriage in which to honor their loved one. Such a perfect option at Ballara!
